Eden Amateur Fishing Club Inc.

The Eden Amateur Fishing Club is famous for its annual 8 day fishing competition commencing the first Saturday of March every year.   The competition starts at 6:00 am on the Saturday and ends at 12 noon the following Saturday.

The competition is for the heaviest fish weighed in for a number of nominated species.  Both marine and estuarine species are included.
There are four classes of anglers, OPEN, LADIES, BOYS and GIRLS.  All anglers are eligible to enter the OPEN class, girls can enter the LADIES class but entry to the junior classes is limited to anglers under 16 years of age at the commencement of the competition.

The OPEN class fishes for 24 species, there is a $400 cash prize for the heaviest fish in each species; $40 entry fee.
The LADIES class fishes for 18 species, there is a $200 cash prize for the heaviest fish in each species; $20 entry fee.
The BOYS class fishes for 15 species, there is a $50 voucher for the heaviest fish in each species; $5 entry fee.
The GIRLS class fishes for 15 species, there is a $50 voucher for the heaviest fish in each species; $5 entry fee.
